Unfinder is a system extension which brings the Macintosh user interface up to 1984 standards by adding an “Undo” command to the Finder. It allows you to undo and redo these actions:
copy, delete, duplicate, lock, unlock, make alias, move, new folder, and rename.
It works by listening to AppleEvents as if it were recording a script. But instead of playing them back in order, it calculates a way to reverse their effects.
Since the Finder isn’t always accurate in its recording, Unfinder sometimes isn't able to undo things it ought to undo, or will try to undo something you cancelled. Also, when you have a lot of files with names like “Foo copy 17,” Unfinder may get confused about which one you wanted to undo. I hope you didn’t want that file. Finally, when you replace a file by moving or copying a new file into its place, Unfinder isn’t able to bring back the lost file. Sorry.
